Thai Airways International is the national flag carrier of Thailand and one of the most prestigious airlines in Asia. With an extensive route network, high-quality service, and the renowned warmth of Thai hospitality, Thai Airways has become a preferred choice for both domestic and international travelers.

A Brief History

Thai Airways International was established in 1960 through a partnership between the Government of Thailand and Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS). Over more than six decades of operation, the airline has continuously expanded its route network and enhanced its service standards, earning a reputation as one of Asia’s leading full-service carriers.

In 1988, Thai Airways merged with Thai Airways Company, the domestic airline at the time, to unify its operations and strengthen both domestic and international services. Today, the airline operates primarily from Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, with additional domestic services connecting key destinations across Thailand.

Domestic and International Connectivity

Thai Airways operates flights to major cities and popular tourist destinations within Thailand, including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi, and Hat Yai. Its domestic network provides convenient connections for both business and leisure travelers exploring the country.

Internationally, the airline serves an extensive network across Asia, Europe, and Oceania, with destinations such as Tokyo, Seoul, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, London, Frankfurt, Paris, and Sydney. Thanks to Bangkok’s strategic location, Thai Airways also serves as a convenient gateway for passengers traveling between Asia and other regions of the world.

Commitment to Premium Service

Thai Airways is renowned for delivering a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable travel experience while showcasing Thailand’s unique culture and hospitality. The airline is committed to maintaining high service standards throughout every stage of the journey, from check-in and airport lounges to onboard dining and attentive cabin service.

As a member of the Star Alliance, the world's largest airline alliance, Thai Airways offers seamless connections to thousands of destinations worldwide through its partner airlines, providing passengers with greater flexibility and convenience.

Fleet and Services

Thai Airways operates a modern fleet featuring both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft, including the Airbus A320, Airbus A350-900, Boeing 777, and Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The airline offers multiple cabin classes, including Economy Class, Premium Economy (on selected routes), Royal Silk Class (Business Class), and Royal First Class (on selected long-haul routes), catering to the diverse needs of travelers.
